Policy Roundtable for Members of Parliament: Right To Education (RTE)

Centre for Civil Society organises Policy Roundtables for Members of Parliament on the RTE to discuss and debate the Model Rules as per the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009 (RTE Act). This discussion is aimed at providing timely and much needed feedback to the Union Government, which in turn will help State Governments in developing their rules on innovative ideas on the implementation of the Act.

Student First Dialogue: Implementing the 25% in RTE Act: Developing a Model

Student First Dialogue: Challenges Facing India's Education

The School Choice Campaign brings together three experts, Mr Vijay Thadani, CEO, NIIT Ltd and Chairman of CII National Committee on Education, Ms Rashmi Krishnan, Additional Director, Directorate of Education (Delhi) and Director, SCERT and Mr Oscar Fernandes, Senior Leader, Indian National Congress and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Human Resource Development to discuss the assessment of the nation’s preparedness for the Challenges Facing India’s Education Section.

The book launch is followed by a panel discussion between the author, Mr Madhav Chavan, Co-founder and Director, Pratham; Ms Reshma Lohia, Correspondent for Lohia’s Little Angels School, Hyderabad; and Mr Ashish Rajpal, CEO, idiscoveri on quality education (delivery, implementation and monitoring) in India.
