Liberalism in India: Past, Present and Future
S V Raju has been a ‘convening force’ for Indian liberals. After the closure of the Swatantra Party, he kept the Maharashtra chapter going as a distinct entity so that those who have interest in liberal politics could continue to come together. The Indian Liberal Group was the most active forum, not just in Mumbai but also across much of India, that kept the flame of liberalism alive. The ILG offered camaraderie for the older liberals and a guiding path to the aspiring ones.
Even in his passing, Mr. Raju helped convene liberals to discuss the past, present and the future of liberalism in India. This turned out to be the most diverse group of liberals ever to assemble in recent times—from the old and the young, liberals, libertarians and conservatives, organisations (think tanks and do tanks) and individuals (politicians, public intellectuals, authors, columnists, activists). The result of that convening is this book —the S.V. Raju Festschrift.

UnpackED – The black box of Indian school education reform
The previous decade brought a great visibility of learning class in India. In attempts to reform education, people made several attempts at small and large scales. The book synthesizes lessons from these attempts and debates across different strands of education - assessments, pedagogy, governance etc., and argues that weak state capacity is the critical constraint in the school education reform currently. It also lists out the implications of weak state capacity - forcing us to settle for second-best solutions etc. The book then discusses the meaning of state capacity and frameworks to understand the same; as well as widely debated themes in education - decentralisation, incentives, private schools, and vouchers. Finally, it argues that if we are to improve any further, we must focus on enhancing state capacity and it must be made the priority.

Hindi Dictionary of Economic Terms
While working on the liberal approach and market-based solutions to public policy issues, CCS realized that jargons, technical terms and abbreviations have become a part of our daily lives. Much more than that, these terms have found their way into our economic thinking and acting. Technical terms such as derivatives, dumping, copyright, portfolio, PPP (public private partnership) or NPO (Non Profit organization) represent only a small excerpt from a long list of terms, which is used in everyday business.
Hindi version of the "Dictionary of Economic Terms" contains terminology and basic knowledge of economic issues which are relevant and can be used in school, college, work and everyday life. This way, the users acquire a comprehensive tool for understanding economic abbreviations in the local language (English/Hindi, Hindi/English).

The book focuses on the functioning of urban municipalities. The book, which is targeted at policy makers, urban planners and citizens associations, suggests creating a local self-governance unit at a level of a Ward for decentralized management.
