"TweakBook on Governance Reforms’ is a compendium of good governance ideas for the executive branch of the government. It is compiled with the intent that as a first step, much improvement in governance and the quality of life of India’s citizens could be achieved through intelligent and precise tweaks (IPTs) directly by the executive branch. This compendium recommends not massive, but micro-changes, on issues that the executive branch works on daily. These tweaks have been sourced with the support of 17 ‘contributors’ - esteemed practitioners, highly experienced in day-to-day implementation of governance.

The 2017 edition of The Delhi Citizens' Handbook is the result of six weeks of tireless work, dedication, and enthusiasm of 24 interns, who were the cohort for this year’s Researching Reality Internship – the flagship summer internship program of Centre for Civil Society (CCS).

S V Raju has been a ‘convening force’ for Indian liberals. After the closure of the Swatantra Party, he kept the Maharashtra chapter going as a distinct entity so that those who have interest in liberal politics could continue to come together. The Indian Liberal Group was the most active forum, not just in Mumbai but also across much of India, that kept the flame of liberalism alive. The ILG offered camaraderie for the older liberals and a guiding path to the aspiring ones.

Even in his passing, Mr. Raju helped convene liberals to discuss the past, present and the future of liberalism in India. This turned out to be the most diverse group of liberals ever to assemble in recent times—from the old and the young, liberals, libertarians and conservatives, organisations (think tanks and do tanks) and individuals (politicians, public intellectuals, authors, columnists, activists). The result of that convening is this book —the S.V. Raju Festschrift.

In Boondein, a coffee table book published by NISA, we have journeyed to four states and visited a number of budget private schools with diverse financial and social structures. Forty five stories of fortitude and commitment of parents, teachers, students and school owners have been presented, which capture and showcase the essence of these schools, why parents prefer these schools to their government counterparts, what made these edupreneurs start these schools; building evidence for their relevance and acknowledging their contribution in achieving universal education and schooling for all children in India.
