The Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) by the Centre for Civil Society is a four-week long online course on Education Policy. It has been curated to address the enduring lack of accessible training in education policy in India. The course aims to equip students with research methods, along with the philosophical, economic, and political aspects of education policy in the Indian context.
The course is comprehensively designed, with four modules addressing the historical and extant education policy landscape in the country, the economics of education, regulatory frameworks as well as the possible interventions and innovations to catalyse education quality.
Our faculty consists of eminent experts and academicians, including Amit Kaushik, CEO of Australian Council for Educational Research (India); Yamini Aiyar, President and Chief Executive of the Centre for Policy Research; Parth Shah, President, Centre for Civil Society, Gurcharan Das, Author and Former CEO, P&G India; Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, Professor at University College London, among others.
We have successfully concluded three batches of the MOOC. We piloted our first partnership with the OP Jindal Global University with 49 students, who graduated in February 2019. The second and third batch, both of which were open enrolments, saw over 300 students graduating through the summer of 2019.
Our latest batch of MOOC on Education Policy is now live! Limited seats available. For any queries, email us at mooc@ccs.in.
