A Baithak in Hyderabad: Conversations on Election Policy and Democracy in India

Date: 18th May 2019
Venue: GP Birla Science Centre, Hyderabad

On 18th May, we hosted Baithak, our monthly policy dialogue at the GP Birla Science Centre, Hyderabad on 'Election Policy and Democracy in India', moderated by Dr. JP Narayan, Founder, Lok Satta Party and Former Civil Servant. Engaging 58 enthusiastic participants, the discussion centered around the idea of voting responsibly and the importance of accountability in the government. Dr. Narayan perfectly summed up the discussion by emphasising that it is vital for us to consider governance outcomes over sentiments when casting our votes.

'Baithak: Conversations in Policy' is an initiative to give CCS graduates a platform to discuss and debate contemporary socio-cultural and economic issues under the guidance of an expert facilitator to foster continued learning and development of CCS graduates.
