NID students’ films to be screened at International film festival
AHMEDABAD: 'I'll Tell You', a NID film and video diploma film by Diksha Grover has been selected for the Athens international digital film festival, Greece, as part of the international short fiction competition. Her film will be screened alongside films from across the globe, including UK, Turkey, France, USA, Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, South Korea, Belgium and Russia.
"NID students are going places and we are extremely proud of what Diksha has achieved", said Shrinkhala Aren, Faculty at NID. Diksha, a student of film and video communication at NID had made this film as part of her curriculum. She passed out this year.
Koyinta culture company in cooperation with Fine Arts School L A (Life n' Art) Theater organizes Iiternational Athens digital short film festival. The festival aims to establish a meeting point for both creators and spectators of cinema, including film screenings and many other events that take place not necessarily in cinemas, but in places offered to host the dialogue of audience and creators from all over Greece and aboard.
In another achievement, 'In Citylights', a NID film and video film by Saurabh Vyas has been selected for Jeevika: Asia livelihood documentary festival 2013. Jeevika is Asia's most unique documentary festival that is held annually in the city of New Delhi; the focus of the festival is capturing livelihood challenges faced by the rural and urban poor. Jeevika began in 2003; it awards the best long and short documentary and best student documentary among others.
